Taylor River Lodge is now a year-round property perfect for an off the grid escape. For the first time, the lodge is opened for the winter wonderland that appears from November through until April in the Taylor Canyon. Taylor River Lodge provides a soothing oasis in the middle of the stunning white while also providing access to back county skiing. The Taylor Canyon makes the perfect backdrop for a serene experience of the beauty of winter in Colorado.
From May through October, Taylor Canyon is the perfect place for family fun, with plenty of outside activities making the most of the landscape, such as stand-up paddleboarding, fly fishing, and cycling. A personal guide will accompany you on the summer adventures to help you get the most out of them. Take the chance to truly be off-the-grid and leave modern technology behind as you get back to (luxurious) basics at Taylor River Lodge.
Accommodations
There are six private queen bedded cabins; three with twin-bedded lofts, and three without. The larger Royal Wulff comprises of two king-bedded suites and an additional lofted bunkroom, as does Green Drake. The wooden cabins appear to blend into the forest surroundings, nestled between snow-tipped trees and surrounded by fresh, crunchy snow.
The cabins are adorned with decorative antlers and other trophy pieces, reminding you of the gorgeous surroundings and the natural environment around you. Plush bedding welcomes you to a cozy bed after a day of adventure and exploration.
Amenities
The main area of the lodge presents a group dining space decorated with the same classic-contemporary design as the cabins. A fireplace lounge is fantastic in the winter months, with the bathhouse providing plenty of opportunities for warming up: a steam room, sauna, indoor pool, and hot tub. For the fitness bunnies, there is a gym equipped with top-of-the-range equipment. After racing around the ice rink, head to the spa facility, or unwind in the game cabin. There’s no shortage of things to keep you busy at Taylor River Lodge – you don’t even have to leave the property.
For Dining, you will enjoy custom dishes provided by their culinary team for all three meals. The team contacts guest before arriving to learn their food preferences, allergies, and dietary restrictions.
